Beauty and Beyond reflects both the fragile and powerful at the same time. This series of four works is focused on the theme of sexuality and its connection with the norms of society. We wonder how sexuality in the past affected women? Did physical allure empower or expose them to scrutiny and objectification? The audience is encouraged to ponder how these women managed to cope in a society that saw them as objects of sexual desire and conquest.
Thus, the focus on both women’s weaknesses and powers enables us to ask whether some women received power through their sexuality or are denied power because of traditional roles assigned to them by society. This portrayal is supposed to make the viewer reflect on the effects of sexualization of women in the past as well as in the present.
The different expressions on each face point out the diverse perspectives, feelings and situations women might have. Ultimately, "Beauty and Beyond" serves as a reminder that each person's relationship with their sexuality is unique, shaped by a complex interplay of personal, societal, and historical factors. This series invites viewers to move beyond oversimplified narratives and appreciate the rich, multifaceted realities of women's lives.

On rare occasions, one or more products in an order may be damaged while in transit in possession of our shipping partners.
