This series is quite surrealistic and postmodern, as it challenges the viewer to step into the fantastic worlds of one’s mind.
All pieces act as a portal to different points of view, using bright colors and elements of a fairy tale to contemplate on how perception influences the world. The lone characters represent individual experiences of traveling through different landscapes which reflect the challenges and triumphs of the soul-searching process. These works depict real life in a way that is slightly distorted and encourages the viewer to look at life from a different perspective. The melting drips and edges represent life's fluidity, the value of accepting change, and the transience of all things. The squares and triangles add depth and richness beyond simple geometry. Triangles stand for aspiration, progress, and the pursuit of enlightenment or a better self. They are particularly symbolic because of their upward orientation.
Triangles, especially when pointed upwards, represent ambition, advancement, and the search for enlightenment or a better self. They are expected to motivate the viewers to find their inner selves and experience a spiritual awakening. The squares are more stable and balanced and therefore they signify the basic and grounding aspects of existence. Combined, these shapes show that there is always a balance between reality and a dream, between the foundation and the progress, and that one must strive to achieve that balance.
We don't want to explain much more about this series. Our Worlds Within is designed to build fantasy and encourage the viewer to deal with their own inner self. The true essence of these works lies in their personal view on things. The goal is to inspire the viewer’s thoughts and emotions, ideally creating a therapeutic experience as they explore their own inner landscape.
Our Worlds Within takes the audience through the realm of the human mind. We would like to inspire the viewer to get a deeper understanding of their inner selves. Perceptions can be as diverse and creative as the fictional worlds depicted in these works.
